Max Factor Whipped Creme Foundation Review in 'Golden'

Hi Ladies!

Yep another post so soon lol :) But I feel a bit more organised today so I thoight I would share with you couple of recent purchase's I made.  I'm especially loving the necklace that you see below, isn't it a beauty?
And not forgetting my lovely drugstore foundation  from  'Max Factor' which this post is all about.
The new addition is their new 'Whipped Creme Foundation' for £7.99. You can buy here

Now since the fall/autumn has come in I've been looking around for a mattish foundation that wouldn't break the bank and I saw this new addition to the Max Factor foundation family and thought why not!
It has been a while since I've bought anything from Max Factor.  There used to be time where I couldn't live without their pressed powder and red lippies back in the day's...

This foundation comes in a lovely glass jar and feels and looks quite sophisticated as you would expect with Max Factor.
The foundation it self is a smooth mousse like consistency and feels like whipped air on your skin as you wear it. The name does do justice to how it feels and actually is a lovely cooling experience on your skin.

This foundation is a demi matt effect foundation so your face shouldn't look as flat as it would with a full matt foundation. It promises a demi matt radiant finish which hydrates your skin at the same time.

For me this foundation is lovely on my combination skin when it has been well moisturised otherwise it can cling a little to dry patches but it does give a lovely  light to medium coverage without looking cakey.

This is best used with your finger tips as it gives more control as a little does go a long way and as with most matt effect foundations I usually finish off by stippling with my RealTechniques Stippling Foundation brush to give it a more air brushed look.

The foundation is oil free and fragrance free so it's ideal for those with sensitive skin and for combination skin as well.
I don't feel even though it is oil free that it's suitable for oily skin types as my t-zone did get a little shiny around the 3 hour mark and I needed a touch of powder. This maybe because of the whipped formulation which gives it the natural coverage without looking heavy.

This foundation unfortunately only comes in 4 shades :( and the shade that I picked up is 'Golden' which is the  darkest that I could find.
A note for Max Factor! please add some more shades as this foundation isn't bad at all for the price tag so you guys are doing something right apart from the shade selection.

The shade Golden is a tad light for me but is great with a bronzer as it does warm up and doesn't stay as pale as it looks when you first put it on.
This foundation needs no powder on top unless you are very oily or have combination skin where as I've mentioned already you may need to blot or powder.
This foundation does wear off around the 6 hour mark but it is easy enough to touch up where you may need to without looking to heavy.

Me wearing the foundation!

Do let me know what you guys think? Have you tried this foundation or is there a matt foundation that you cannot live without already? Would love to know :)

Au revoir for now lovelies

  1. I haven't used a Max factor foundation in such a long time! I don't know whether I'll be trying this though as I hate foundations that cling to dry patches on my face x

What's on your lips?

Do you always know what your wearing on your lips? or do you just know the name of the brand & shade? With Red lipsticks being very popular at the moment and me trying to find my perfect shade of red I found out a few more things then I had anticipated.... Well this may not be news to some people as it was to me but it really did shock me to find out that nearly 50% of all lipsticks manufactured in the US contains pig fat to give the shiny appearance!  I always thought to myself that in this day and age where there are so many synthetic & vegetarian alternative's cosmetic companies wouldn't still be using animal derived ingredients but I was very disappointed by what I found. The very brief summary below shows a list's all the animal, fish, insect derived ingredients which are used routinely in majority of lipsticks here in the UK. Names of animal derived ingredients. Wax (usually beeswax)  provides the solid shape of the lipstick. Glycerine (usuall

Swatches From Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen WOW Foundation in Beige & Toasted Beige & Decay naked Skin Liquid Make-Up shade 6, 7 ,  Hello my lovelies! Today's post is all about my latest foundation swatches for shades suitable for mid-tone South Asian skin colouring (as in me) or Olive skin tones without too much yellow.   The samples I picked up are from Benefit and Urban Decay . I picked up 2 of each from the 2 different brands and was colour matched by the make-up consultant and was given 2 samples from each to try out at home, which is great as its really difficult to get a real match under the store lights.. The foundation swatches that I am reviewing today are 'Hello Flawless Oxygen WOW from Benefit (shades *Beige & *Toasted Beige)   Naked Skin Liquid Make-Up from Urban Decay (*shades no 6 & 7) which is the first F oundation by Urban Decay. They do have a Beauty Balm but I was looking for a natural finish foundation for everyday use duri
